I still have some questions. First, why not just measure the space from wall to window for exact depth, instead of going through the troubles of the cardboard template? Will that make a difference? Second, as for the sisal rug, love that thought, but would it be better to buy 2 different ones, putting one at each end of the room to divide off the space? Next, I had been thinking of the glass top desk and love the idea of using other support bases. I was thinking of seaglass, to be honest, but wouldn't have any idea of where to start looking for that, in an affordable price range.
