I know this has never happened to you; you’re in a favorite new outfit attending a swell function and someone snaps a picture for which you serve up your very best Tyra Banks-Supermodel smile. A few days later you see the photo flying around the office. Mortified, you call Jenny herself begging for a helicopter intervention. Gym memberships, new tennis shoes, gallons of bottled water and a padlock on your refrigerator all seem reasonable knee-jerk responses.
Across the pond it appears that London’s mayor, Boris Johnson has found himself in a similar sinking boat, though on a much more public body of water. Standing beside his freshly minted “self” at London’s Madame Tussauds Wax Museum the mayor voiced shock at how fat he appears.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then Madame Trussauds’ images represent the entire library.
